In my little corner of the world anyone would love you
This exhibition incorporates photographic portraits and textiles to commemorate the cherished roles of four loved ones in Parminder's life. The artworks are inspired by floral motifs derived from Parminder’s ancestral heritage. Flowers are used to adorn the sitter's faces to signify the sacred place that they hold in her life. The artworks are inspired by Mughal paintings – a style of painting on paper confined to miniatures either as book illustrations or as single works to be kept in albums. For Parminder, the portraits are a meditation in deep listening to honour interconnectedness.
