Inner Sanctuary: a journey through nature and psyche
Inner Sanctuary is an immersive performance that gently dissolves the boundaries between the inner self and the natural world, guiding the audience on a sensory journey shaped by slow, intentional walks and deep listening in nature. Rooted in psychogeography, it traces emotional landscapes across physical terrain, exploring what it means to belong and to fight for a better world. Presented at the Bowery Theatre, the experience opens with a film woven from intimate videos, voice memos, and poems, set to a dreamlike soundtrack created by Zenbutler. This multimedia offering invites the audience to move freely around the stage, sharing stories and connecting, embodying the idea that art is not separate from life but is a ritual, a meditation on belonging in a world that often forgets how to listen. Inner Sanctuary also grew into an act of solidarity, raising funds for the Black Peoples Union and supporting those in Gaza, insisting that creativity and care are inseparable.
